The Afandou golf course is located on the edge of Afandou on the east coast of the island, on the main road from Rhodes to Lindos.
It lies 19 km from Rhodes Town and 15 km from the Diagoras International Airport and is adjacent to one of the largest, most organised and beautiful beaches of the island, Afandou beach.
The course is designed by famous golf course designer Charantin Donald and has the following characteristics:
- 18 holes, PAR 74, 6.210 km length (Championships tees), 6 PAR 5, 4 PAR 3
- Practice facilities with putting green and chipping area
- The trees mostly olive trees, the greens and the fairways retain their natural green all year round
- Sticks, trolleys, cars and balls are available for rent at reasonable prices
The facility also offers locker rooms, showers, WC and a cafeteria serving refreshments. It is open daily, all year round from 7 am until one hour after sunset. The mild climatic conditions on the island, with temperatures of 10 – 15°C in winter and around 32°C in the summer, the blue sky and the sunshine make the course suitable for playing golf all year round.
